How are the products cleaned?

All the natural timber, banksia and gumnuts are thoroughly washed and dried in the sun. Once dried, I spray them with veterinary disinfectant F10 which removes bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores.

I have a special request, can you customise the toys?

Definitely! I can make modifications to the toys for example swapping banksias for more wood pieces instead. Feel free to contact me prior to placing an order!

How are the perches chosen?

The perch diameter is very important for proper foot health of birds. Birds need various perch thicknesses to enable them to properly grip and stretch their feet without leading to health problems. A comfortable perch should not allow the birds toes to completely wrap around the perch and touch.

All sticks are chosen carefully when I create each toy so that I know the bird is getting the correct perch thickness which is comfortable for them

How long does it take to receive the order once I've placed it?

I generally make the toys within 5-7 business days once the order has been placed. This can depend on the size of the order and the amount of orders I have. Some toys do take a bit longer to make. Also, as I hand collect many of the items, the time can be subjected to the weather. You are more than welcome to contact me and I can give you a better estimate on arrival!
